Same Blog, New Look

You know, I've heard it said that tattoos and body piercings are both highly addictive. I wouldn't really know, seeing as how I've never experienced either. (Well, with the exception of having my ears pierced when I was five years old.) But I think I've discovered that the same theory must apply to blog template design! Oh. My. Gosh. It took me nearly a year before I ever worked up the courage to deviate from my original blog layout. Would you believe I'm now on my third change in two months?! I think I like it. I'm pretty sure I'll keep it.

For at least another week or so... :)

I haven't become addicted yet, because I don't know how to change much of anything. Where do you get your secrets from?
Or dare you tell me in case the addiction spreads to me!?

We've all got our addictions, don't we? ;) Mine tend to be of a caffeinated nature...

Beautiful layout! Of course, yours always are. (I loved the cookies banner, by the way. Maybe you can bring that one out each Christmas.)

I do love it! The sunset is to die for.

I cannot get my photo to spread like yours and I sure need your help with the pictures in the sidebar thing.

Great job!

It's gorgeous! I love it. You have to leave this one on for a while!

Beautiful!!! Maybe someday I'll get around to updating my own, if I can ever figure out all of the tricks! :)

Thanks, everyone! Jane, I think I WILL leave this one up for a while. I've really grown quite fond of it!

Jill, I wish I knew of a "trick" source I could refer you to, but most of what I've learned has been through a (frustrating!) process of trial and error. I'm learning!

Margaret, you're too sweet! It's funny you should mention bringing out the gingerbread each Christmas...that's exactly what I was thinking when I first changed! (I was looking for something a little more summery.)

Celeste, Robin, wouldn't it be so much fun if we could just sit down together one day and have giant blog template party?! (Why, oh WHY weren't there any jobs available in Houston a few months ago?!) ;)

Mrs. Jackie Parkes, I went to Slide.com to make my slide show. Once you upload your photos you can change the size, style, and effects, then after you save it you can copy the HTML code it provides you for your website (you have to choose Blogger from their list to get the right code). Then you just paste it into your template! Good luck!
