Quick update

Darren keeps asking me when I'm going to update my blog, but honestly, I still feel too overwhelmed with everything that's been happening in the past two weeks to write a coherent post. To say I'm exhausted would be an understatement. But thankfully, little Austin is doing well and we are hoping to have him home sometime this week (although I almost hate to get my hopes up). Sorry I don't have more to say at the moment, but here are just a few pictures I absolutely love. They were taken on New Year's Eve, after he pulled out his feeding tube while I was changing his diaper. (It was later replaced.) Had to get a few photos of that perfect little face while I had the opportunity! :)

I'm sorry you are so tired. I'm sure the stress of going back and forth rather than just being at home is much more waring on the body; by the same token I'm glad to read some words from you to know all is progressing.
Austin is beautiful! These pictures are priceless! His scrunched up smile -- he had just for you -- is magnificent.

he's darling!
Melissa- I can only imagine the exhaustion.
When I was at the rehab hospital we had babies who had come from the NICU... they were ALWAYS smart little buggers! They'd pull those NG tubes out whenever they got the chance. It was amazing!
The parents were always beyond exhausted and I felt for them.

Know of my prayers, you're doing wonderful work!
